This collection consist of a booklet titled, Microcopy Number 9: South Carolina Will Transcripts 1782-1868 produced by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History as a guide the microfilmed copies of South Carolina will transcripts of the 18th and 19th centuries. This booklet was compiled by Judith M. Brimelow and Wylma A. Wates in 1980. The publication is divided into several parts; finding aids and related records; contents of rolls; microfilm of the manuscript volumes from which the transcripts were made; and the Works Progress Administration continuations of will transcripts;
