The South Carolina Will Transcripts collection consists of select rolls of microfilm from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History. This collection of South Carolina Will Transcripts consists of typed manuscripts of pre-Civil War wills from Chester, Darlington, Union, and York counties in South Carolina. Each reel includes an index. The collection consists of 6 microfilm rolls of a 31 roll set including: [roll 6] Wills of Chester County, v. 1, 1789-1817; v. 2, 1817-1839, [roll 7] Wills of Chester County, v. 3, 1833-1853; Wills of Darlington County, v. 1 & 2, 1785-1853, [roll 27] Wills of Union County, v. 1, 1777-1814; v. 2, 1815-1849, and [roll 29-31] Wills of York County, v. 1, 1770-1815; v. 2, 1816-1839; v. 3, 1840-1853.
