Description

A performance of American composer, Philip Wharton's, "The prairie sings...of laughing corn". This song is a portion of the song cycle, "The Prairie Sings" that was created for me in 2005 and became the subject of my doctoral dissertation. I will discuss compositional elements in both poetry and music while also celebrating the story of regionalism and rural life from our American history.
