Scope and Content Note

This series consists of the correspondence and memoranda related to the Center for First-Generation Student Success. A first-generation student is a student whose parents or legal guardians have not completed a bachelor’s degree and the first in the family to attend a four-year college and attain a bachelor’s degree. The Center for First-generation Student Success, an initiative of NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education – and The Suder Foundation, has designated Winthrop University as one of its 2020-2021 First-gen Forward Institutions.
