Scope and Content Note
This series consists of the correspondence and memoranda produced by and for the South Carolina Campus Compact. The South Carolina Campus Compact, formed in May of 2008, is a coalition of 17 South Carolina colleges and universities working to promote and develop the civic purposes of higher education. Through this work, the SCCC improves the ability of higher education institutions to partner with their communities to collectively impact community needs and provide real world learning for college students. Members of SCCC collaborate to share and seek resources and best practices, mobilizing students, faculty, and staff toward this end. Winthrop was selected as the new host institution because of Winthrop President Anthony DiGiorgio’s commitment to South Carolina Campus Compact as a charter member and has hosted the office since December 1, 2009. The Correspondence and memoranda is organized by calendar year.
