Historical Note
Jasper Adams (1793-1841) was an author, American clergyman, college professor, and college president. He was president of the College of Charleston from 1825 to 1826 and from 1828 to 1836. He was the author of Elements of Moral Philosophy, published in 1837.
Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of an original copy of the publication titled Laws of success and failure in life: an address, delivered 30th October, 1833, in the chapel of the College of Charleston, before the Euphradian Society by Rev. Jasper Adams published in Charleston, SC in 1933 by A. E. Miller. : President of the College of Charleston, South Carolina- and (ex-officio) Horry Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy.
