This collection consists of a copy of An Experimental Rural School At Winthrop College Rock Hill, SC by Mrs. Hetty Sibyl Browne. Hetty Browne (1875-1966) was an education professor at Winthrop College from 1911 through 1919 who was chosen to lead the experiment by the SC Department of Education to create an environment that is conducive to the educational needs of children in South Carolina's rural population. This publication details her ground breaking work in rural school education. This report was published by the United States Bureau of Education in the 1913 Bulletin, No. 42.
