John Craig, Esquire came to America from Ireland with the Rev. William Martin and his Covenanters landing in Charleston, SC in 1772 and settling in present Lancaster County, S.C. John Robinson, Senior was living in the Waxhaws section of present Lancaster County by 1776.
Scope and Content Note
Descendants of John Craig, Esquire and John Robinson, Senior: Scotch-Irish Immigrants to Lancaster County, South Carolina compiled by Eloise Craig chronicles the Craig and Robinson families from the 1770s to 1988. A 15 page supplement written in 1989 includes information discovered after the 1988 publication date of the book. The book includes maps, land plats, wills, Bible records, pedigree charts, and an index. Please see the attached Table of Contents, Bibliography, and Index.
