This collection consists of a brochure York County Library 1884-1984 written by Ruth Byers and Anne Harper to commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the York County Library. The brochure details its history from Reverend James Spratt White (1841-1891) who founded the Rock Hill Public Library in 1884 up to the York County Public Library system in 1984. The publication also details the history the Palmetto Branch (1936), the York Public Library (1915), the Clover Public Library (1944), the Traveling Library (1937), and the Fort Mill Library (1964).
