Scope and Content Note
The Clint Carpenter Papers consist of correspondence, memorabilia, awards and speeches during his professional career. Clint Carpenter (1936- ) was an insurance representative, club member, and was also a former Executive Vice-President of the Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce (1966-1987). Mr. Carpenter served as President of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Executives Association and of the Southern Association Chamber of Commerce Executives twice. He also served on several boards and committees including: Board of the Rock Hill YMCA; Eagle Scout Review Board; Board member of the Saint John’s Methodist Church; York technical College Business Advisory Committee; Rock Hill Keystone Board of Directors; Board member of the Rock Hill Rotary Club; Board Member of the Rock Hill Country Club; Board of Regents for the Institutes for Organizational Management, Chamber of Commerce of the United States;
Provenance
The Clint Carpenter Papers were donated to the Archives by Clint Carpenter on January 6, 1999, additional donations were made by him on January 26, 1999, November 15, 2000, and January 29, 2002.
