The South Carolina Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club was founded in 1919 to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information. The South Carolina Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Club Records consist of minutes, correspondence, memoranda, reports, clippings, photographs, financial and other related records documenting the growth, development, and history of the organization.
Provenance
The South Carolina Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc., via Mrs. Betty Bagley, President and Miss Jear Lancaster, immediate past president on July 10, 1979. An addition consisting of commemorative gavel was made on February 3, 1982 by the South Carolina Department of Archives. Another addition was made by Betty Bagley of 16,000 pieces on May 31, 2001 and 122 pieces on May 31, 2001.
