The Business and Professional Women's state branch was organized in 1919 and the Rock Hill chapter was established in 1925 with the mission to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information.
Scope and Content Note
The Rock Hill Business and Professional Women's Club Records consist of minutes, correspondence, reports, financial records, membership lists, yearbooks, photographs, awards, news clippings, and records relating to the Rock Hill, South Carolina, and national Business and Professional Women's Club (BPWC). The collection documents the origin, history, and activities of the Club. The Business and Professional Women's state branch was organized in 1919 and the Rock Hill chapter was established in 1925 with the mission to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information.
Provenance
The records of the Rock Hill Business and Professional Women’s Club (RHBPWC) were deposited in the Winthrop College Archives on January 13, 1977, by Miss Lois Peden, President of the Club.
