The Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill was chartered in 1920 as a service club with a direct mission of service to the youth of the Rock Hill and York County, SC community.

Scope and Content Note

The Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill Records document the activities, administration, and community service work of the organization from 1920 through the 1990s. Chartered in 1921 as part of Kiwanis International, the club focused on civic engagement and youth service in Rock Hill and York County, South Carolina.

The collection includes meeting minutes, monthly reports, board meeting records, correspondence, membership rosters and ledgers, attendance records, financial and budget reports, annual club reports, publications, and miscellaneous memorabilia. Records document club governance, membership activities, fundraising efforts, scholarships, sponsored youth programs, and community projects. Publications such as The Bulletin, a local club newsletter, and The Carolina Kiwanian provide additional insight into club activities and regional Kiwanis initiatives.

Also included are photographs, newspaper clippings, banquet programs, reports on special projects and community partnerships, records related to international meetings, and memorabilia dating from the 1930s through the 1990s. Together, the materials provide a detailed overview of the growth, operations, and civic contributions of the Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill over several decades.
