Scope and Content Note
The Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill Records document the activities and administration of the Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill from 1935–2000. Chartered in 1920, the club is part of the international Kiwanis service organization dedicated to supporting youth and serving the Rock Hill and York County communities.
The collection includes attendance records, membership rosters, annual club reports, election records, board meeting minutes, proposed budgets, billing summaries, financial reports, award forms, photographs, newspaper clippings, and miscellaneous club materials such as programs, notes, correspondence, and reports. Annual reports and project narratives provide documentation of the club’s civic and community service activities, while photographs and newspaper articles highlight members and club events. Also included is a bound scrapbook dating from 1935. Collectively, the records provide insight into the organizational history, membership, leadership, and community involvement of the Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill during the twentieth century.
Provenance
The records of the Kiwanis Club of Rock Hill were donated to the Archives on November 24, 1997 from the Kiwanis Club via Mr. James Struggs.
