Scope and Content Note

The Rock Hill High School Class of 1935 50th Reunion Collection consists of materials documenting the fiftieth anniversary reunion of the Class of 1935 of Rock Hill High School. The collection includes a commemorative reunion booklet, a photocopy of a newspaper article describing the event, two school brochures, and a souvenir napkin from the reunion.

Founded in 1907 and established in its own building by 1913–1914, Rock Hill High School developed from the earlier Rock Hill Graded School established in 1888. Known as the Bearcats since 1923, the school relocated to its current Springdale Road campus in 1977.

These materials document alumni activities and commemorative practices associated with the Class of 1935, providing insight into mid- to late-twentieth-century reunion culture and the enduring connections between graduates and their school community in Rock Hill.
