Scope and Content Note

The Rock Hill High School Class of 1932 Reunion Collection consists of materials documenting reunion activities and alumni engagement of the Rock Hill High School Class of 1932. The collection was compiled by Gladys Elmore Williamson Howell (1914–2014), a member of the graduating class who played an active role in organizing and contributing to class reunions.

The core of the collection derives from a reunion scrapbook completed by Howell in August 1986. Materials include printed reunion programs—most notably from the 46th reunion in 1978 and the 50th reunion in 1982—as well as photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and class rosters. Together, these items document the planning, commemoration, and social connections maintained by classmates across several decades.

Overall, the collection provides insight into alumni traditions, mid- to late-twentieth-century reunion culture, and the enduring personal and community ties formed through Rock Hill High School’s Class of 1932.
