The Robert M. Gorman Research Papers consists of professional research conducted by Robert M. Gorman. Robert Gorman is Winthrop Professor Emeritus and former Librarian who worked for Winthrop from 1986 through 2014. The research was produced while working on his books: Death at the Ballpark: A Comprehensive Study of Game-Related Fatalities of Players, Other Personnel and Spectators in Amateur and Professional Baseball, 1862-2007 (2008); Death at the Ballpark: More Than 2,000 Game-related Fatalities of Players, Other Personnel and Spectators in Amateur and Professional Baseball, 1861-2014, 2d ed. (2015); Sixty-One in ’61: Roger Maris Home Runs Game by Game (2019).
