Scope and Content Note
The Phi Delta Kappa Records consists of materials related to the Piedmont South Carolina Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa Association by Dr. Martha D. Bishop. Phi Delta Kappa is an international professional organization for educators. Their mission is “to promote quality education, with particular emphasis on publicly supported education, as essential to the development and maintenance of a democratic way of life.” The Piedmont South Carolina Chapter (No. 1363) of Phi Delta Kappa was based in Rock Hill, SC. The collection consists of by-laws, meeting minutes, agendas, roster rolls, financial reports, publications, a scrapbook, and other miscellaneous items.
