The American Association of Retired Persons- Catawba Chapter Records consist of material related to Rock Hill, SC based chapter (#1416) which was founded on October 15, 1973. The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) advocates for Americans 50 or older on many health and fiscal issues at the federal, state and local level. The collection consists of by-laws and a certificate of incorporation and award, Activities and Chapter evaluations reports, correspondence papers, financial papers, membership lists and rolls, and newspaper article clippings, documenting the history, development and activities of the AARP.

The records of the American Association of Retired Persons Records were donated by Dr. Allen Edwards in 1989.
