Scope and Content Note
The York County Minute Book of the Ordinary collection consists of microfilm copies purchased from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History. The Ordinary was the old name for a judge of probate. The microfilm contains records of wills, testaments and deaths arranged by year from 1814 through 1840. See Index for listing of names.
The York County Minute Book of the Ordinary was purchased and placed in the Archive on October 27, 1994.
