Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of two microfilm rolls of records related to York County Confederate Veterans’ Pension applications. The first role consists of York County, SC Board of Honor (Confederate Pensioners) Approved Pension Roll Book from 1896-1963. The second roll consists of York County Board of Honor (Confederate Pensioners): Confederate Pension Application Papers for Veterans from 1919-1929; Confederate Pension Application Papers for Widows from 1919-1938; Confederate Pension List from 1945-1964. These rolls were purchased from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History where the originals are housed.
