The papers of Mary Pitts Perry consists of material collected by 1962 Winthrop Training School graduate, Mary Celeste Pitts Perry (b. 1943). Mary had several family members that attended Winthrop Training School and the family had many ties to Winthrop College as well. The collection consists of material related to the history of Winthrop College, the Winthrop Training School, Rock Hill, SC, and her family history. The collection includes several books, bulletins, newspaper articles, newsletters, a land purchase letter, a Winthrop Training School print, Winthrop Training School ornament, and a wooden box containing materials related to the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and the Freemasons.
