Scope and Content Note
The Project Tap Collection consists of two copies of I am Not Born Yet But I Have A Looking Glass: Student Poetry Project Tap edited by Michael Waters and published by the South Carolina Arts: Commission: Columbia, SC in 1975. The publication consist of student poetry from Chester District Schools (Dora Jones-Gayle Elementary School, Southside Elementary School, and York Road Elementary School), Fort Mill District Schools (Fort Mill Senior High and Fort Mill Junior High), and Lancaster County Schools (Buford High, Erwin Elementary, Flat Creek Elementary, Indian Land Elementary, and Kershaw Middle School). Project TAP (Total Arts Program) was created to place artists in the participating public schools.

The Project Tap Collection were given to the Archives on March 8, 2013 by Marsha Murdock.
