  • Sullivan, of Lancaster, S.C., who died in 2010, spent much of her working career as a home economics teacher and librarian at Buford High School in Lancaster.
  • Three of Sullivan’s four sisters also attended Winthrop. They are: Annie Rowell Funderburk, Mary Kathryn Mobley Rowell and Ruth Rowell Bailey, class of 1922.
