Description
At The Water Initiative (TWI), we specialize in point of use or point of drinking (POD) healthy water solutions. Our paper will discuss how current municipal strategies are failing to deliver clean water to the world as efficiently and effectively as they could. In fact, our research shows only 2% of treated water is actually used for drinking and cooking. This current approach wastes precious resources. Our strategy is to filter only the water used for drinking and cooking with our point of drinking (POD) healthy water solutions.
We will discuss our technology and explain our strategy of deployment wherein we diagnose, develop, and distribute comprehensive healthy water solutions to domestic and international partners. This 3-D approach allows us to understand the individual needs of each community with which we partner. In partnering, we develop a custom-tailored solution for that community. Lastly, we distribute this solution through education to maximize our technology’s effectiveness. Our paper will show how our approach has impacted the country of Mexico where we serve over 400,000 people with our products using the diagnose, develop, and distribute methodology.

Background: TWI has recently consolidated its operations to South Carolina. We are currently raising another round of funding in order to develop more health water solutions for the world. We design, develop, manufacture, and distribute consumer retail, home, office, and municipal water solutions with a wide array of healthy water products. Our executive team, lead by Kevin McGovern, who successfully developed and sold SOBE Beverages to the Pepsi Co., has extensive experience creating meaningful solutions while creating significant wealth for our investors. We would love the opportunity to share our solutions with the community at Winthrop and Rock Hill as we make South Carolina our new base of operations.
