Description

For Winthrop’s Interdisciplinary Conference, Water in the World, I am proposing the creation of a video that illustrates the beauty inherent in water. This video will focus on water in motion, in varied contexts, and lighting. It will serve to bring a visual/multimedia representation of this life-sustaining element. Along with video, the work will feature sound design, music, and a possible voice over to enhance the experience. The video will be around 2 to 5 minutes long. Ideally it will be projected onto a screen with audio for the audience to experience. I am willing to give a brief artist talk about the film, before or after its showing. The possibility for further interdisciplinary collaboration with musicians and dancers will be explored in the production of this work.

For reference, the following link demonstrates my videography in collaboration with music by Winthrop professor Ronald Keith Parks; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb_ytsp0MtI. And this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ussQJiPeRo, represents another project I created for a local conference called, Dazzle Gradually. This event centered on the allure of art and poetry, and was held in 2014 by the Rock Hill art group, The Friday Arts Project
