Scope and Content Note

This series consists of records about and produced by Winthrop’s chapter of Phi Alpha. Leadership Honor Society for college students recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, Phi Alpha is a National Honor Society for Social Work with the goal of promoting the humanitarian goals of the profession and promoting closer bonds among students. In addition to ensuring academic excellence among members, the Phi Alpha honor society fosters mentoring relationships between alumni and current students and members regularly engage in service to their state and local community.
