Abstract

I intend to create a field guide that tells the story of a scientist, Iaso, who works for acorporation that owns the entire world. The corporation runs this world, but because their lives are good citizens rarely try to act out of line. Iaso has this same train of thought until he stumbles upon an abandoned town and discovers weird and violent creatures. When trying to leave, he digs up the truth behind the creatures and the corporation itself. The story will be told from Iaso’s point of view as he writes diary entries and sketches what he encounters throughout. The diary itself will be a physical diary, with the illustrations and writing being done with pen and ink by hand. This field guide allows readers to put themselves in this scientist's shoes, creating a sense of wonder and fear, entertaining and telling a story.

The Diary of Iaso
