Abstract
This paper is an examination into the ostensibly fraught relationship between women's studies and trans studies. By opening up investigations into the intersections of multiple liberatory theories (feminism, queer theories, trans theories) this project seeks to identify new lines of flight into a radically different future than ones previously imagined.

Room 221, DiGiorgio Campus Center (DiGs)
This paper is an examination into the ostensibly fraught relationship between women's studies and trans studies. By opening up investigations into the intersections of multiple liberatory theories (feminism, queer theories, trans theories) this project seeks to identify new lines of flight into a radically different future than ones previously imagined.
Comments
This paper is part of work that I am continuing to do through my graduate training. Its main goal and purpose is to open up, rather than foreclose, the possibilities that trans and queer studies may be able to offer feminist theories and women's studies.
