Abstract

Valuable as an organizing tool for faculty members, administrative professionals, student organizations, service-learning classes, and beyond academia, the implementation of action-learning communities poses opportunities to maximize collaborative learning, participatory buy-in, and capacity within communities and teams. This panel serves to describe a framework for an intersectional action-learning project cycle and to capture how it can be used to create sustainable community-partnerships both within and outside of higher education settings. The panel participants will model the action-learning project cycle process by identifying how it can be used to create an action-learning community around LGBTQ identities and leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina.
