Description

Higher education enrollment is in the midst of a generational shift, with Generation Z students rapidly replacing millennials on campuses. In this session, we’ll cover the characteristics of Gen Z, practical strategies for effectively reaching these students, and how Winthrop offices are adapting to fit the needs of this generation.

Presenter Bio

Chelsi Colleton
Study Abroad Coordinator for the International Center

Chelsi Colleton is the Study Abroad Coordinator at Winthrop University, where she manages semester and faculty-led study abroad programs. She also serves as the Education Abroad Representative for the South Carolina Association of International Educators (SCAIE). Chelsi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Event Management from Lasell College and a Masters of Education in Educational Policy Studies, with a focus on Global Studies in Education, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to Winthrop, she worked in the Conference Department at NAFSA as the Senior Coordinator for Conference Program and Communications.
