This session will focus on creating and practicing a clear, concise personal marketing message about who you are and what you do. We’ll discuss ways to formulate and deliver a strong first impression aimed at building your network and setting up future meetings.

Presenter Bio

Matt Martin serves as Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. He joined the staff on November 16, 2016. Martin has served as the Assistant AD for Major Gifts at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. Prior to joining South Dakota’s development team, he served with the Vandal Sports Properties at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Martin graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s of business administration in finance and economics. He also received a bachelor of arts in communication studies. Martin continued his education at Eastern Washington, receiving his master’s degree in sport administration.

Martin remained at his alma mater as the external revenue coordinator from 2011-13. He helped manage the Eagle Athletic Association and oversaw a number of events for donors and corporate sponsors of EWU Athletics.

Martin was a four-year letter winner on EWU's football team and received the 2010 Big Sky Conference Scholar Athlete Award.
