In 1937, the Miss Hi-Miss Weekend began at Winthrop College. The Miss Hi-Miss Weekend was an event each year where Winthrop invited talented high school students to come to Winthrop during the summer months to show what Winthrop offered.
This photograph is a Miss Hi-Miss event held at the Shack in 1952.
