In 1911, the Student Government Association was formed. Therefore the Student Government Association (SGA) was given authority to control quiet and promptness of students, student compliance with College regulations, and honesty in the classroom among students.
This image from the 1912 yearbook (Tatler) and is a copy of the petition sent to President David Bancroft Johnson requesting the right to have a Student Government Association.
