Description
In 1898, Winthrop held it's first Summer School. Both men and women could attend classes at Winthrop during summer school, however Winthrop's charter forbade the awarding of degrees to men until the Winthrop Coeducation Bill was signed in 1974.
This photograph is of the Summer School class of 1900.
