Description

Koran. Egypt, ca. 1850. Modern manuscript executed in a medieval style. Approx. 175 x 115 mm (written area approx. 115 x 62 mm). Single column, 15 lines. Embellished in gold and red. The ending of the Surah Yunus (referring to the Prophet Jonah) and the beginning of the Surah Hud. The wording, according to Dr. Duha Hamed of the Winthrop Department of Mathematics, is exact.
