John Hollis [1803-1886] was a planter who lived in Fairfield and Kershaw counties in South Carolina. He was the father of Edward Preston Hollis whose descendants this volume chronicles.
Scope and Content Note
The Preston Hollis Family of Chester, Fairfield, Kershaw and York Counties, South Carolina chronicles the descendants of Edward Preston Hollis, son of John and Elizabeth Hollis. The book contains the origin of the Hollis name, information on the family of George and Charity Jinkins Harris, a list of family burial places, and a list of county names with a map.
