Historical Note
William Boyce White, Jr. [1929-2016] was a Rock Hill native and taught at Winthrop Training School (WTS) 1958-1965 and taught at Rock Hill High School1969-1986. He also taught in Clover before coming to Winthrop. Mr. White was an author and historian and was the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill from 1945 until he moved to Virginia.
Scope and Content Note
The Ross-Chesnut-Sutton Family of South Carolina chronicles the family of Virginia and South Carolina from the early 1700s through the 20th century. The volume includes photographs; transcriptions of wills, deeds, letters, and other family documents; reminiscences; tombstone inscriptions; and an index.
