Additional Notes
From the preface: "My motive in researching and compiling this history of the Stewart Family is my devotion to my mother and father, James Douglas Stewart and Mamie McClellan Stewart of Anniston, Alabama. This genealogy and data also is for our children and grandchildren, hoping to foster deep respect for their heritage. It gives me pleasure to believe that the long-continued labor and care necessary to complete this work will be appreciated by the descendants of our family."
