Eleanor M. Hewell published The Pedens of America in 1900 covering the Peden family from 1768 to 1900. Jessie and Lizzie Peden and Lila Peden Sprouse continued the history through 1960.
Scope and Content Note
The Pedens of America: An Outline History of the Ancestry and Descendants of John Peden and Margaret McDill Peden chronicles the history of the family from 1768 through 1960. In addition to genealogical material, the books includes a few photographs, historical and biographical sketches, family stories, transcriptions of family documents and letters, and an index.
