Historical Note
Clara Lee Courtney Jackson was born on January 4, 1938 in Lancaster County, S.C. She is the great granddaughter of Lewis Rowell and collected and compiled the genealogical and photographs in the history.
Scope and Content Note
A Pictorial History and Genealogy of the Lewis H. Rowell Family by Clara Jackson chronicles the family history of the Rowell Family of Lancaster County--primarily the Lewis Haseltine Rowell Family of the Tabernacle Methodist Church community from the mid-19th century to the 1980s. In addition to genealogical information, the book is richly illustrated with family photographs. The Rowell Family coat of arms is also included. Please see the attached Table of Contents.
