Scope and Content Note
The Winthrop Centennial Album Photograph Collection consists of copies of photographs of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina that were used in Winthrop’s pictorial history in 1986. Included are seven photographs: two photographs of Strawberry Hill Plantation in November 1897; one photograph showing the making of a street in Rock Hill, SC around 1890; one photograph showing white horses pulling a chariot in a parade in Rock Hill, SC; one photograph showing a map of North and South Carolina in 1882; one photograph of the Columbia Opera House; one of a Columbia, SC street scene depicting children and animals.
Provenance
The Winthrop Centennial Album Photograph Collection was donated to the Archives by Ron Chepesiuk on May 15, 1985.
