The Stitt-Howey (Howie) Family Papers consist of photocopies of deeds, indentures, Civil War correspondence, wills, newspaper clippings, and financial records, relating not only to the Stitt and Howey (Howie) families but also to the Dunn and Ezell families. The families lived in Mecklenburg County and Union County, North Carolina, and Sumter County, South Carolina.
