Scope and Content Note
The Orangeburg Massacre Report consists of a Special Report issued by the Southern Regional Council by Pat Watters and Weldon Rougeau concerning the demonstration against segregation that ended in violence in Orangeburg, S.C. on February 8, 1968. Events leading up to the demonstration and the aftermath of the massacre are also covered in the report.

The Special Report of the Southern Regional Council was given to the Archives by Mrs. Clarence Hornsby on February 8, 1983.
