The originals were found by a worker on top of an old safe in the Bank of Fort Mill during the process of remodeling. They were then given by the worker to Manley Storme "Stormy" Young to use in his history class at the Fort Mill Middle School. He gave copies to Louise Pettus of the Winthrop University School of Education and she gave them to the Archives.
