The Rock Hill Artist Guild was organized on March 17, 1960 as the Artists Guild of York and Chester Counties to encourage the appreciation of art and artists in the Rock Hill area. In July 1976 the name was changed to the Rock Hill Artist Guild.

The Rock Hill Artist Guild was organized on March 17, 1960 as the Artists Guild of York and Chester Counties to encourage the appreciation of art and artists in the Rock Hill area. In July 1976 the name was changed to the Rock Hill Artist Guild. The Rock Hill Artist Guild Records consist of charters, bylaws, correspondence, minutes, newsletters, photographs, membership lists, newspaper clippings, financial and other records relating to art shows and artistic activities in Rock Hill.
Provenance
The records of the Rock Hill Artist Guild were donated to the Archives by Mrs. Kay Mohle on April 16, 1980.
