The Garden Club Council of South Carolina was founded on April 22, 1930. The organization was federated with the National Council of State Garden Clubs in 1932, becoming the 25th state to join the national organization. Scope and Content Note
The Garden Club Council of South Carolina Records consist of yearbooks, bulletins and other publications produced by the Garden Club Council of South Carolina which was founded on April 22, 1930. The Garden Club of South Carolina was federated with the National Council of State Garden Clubs in 1932, becoming the 25th state to join the national organization.

The Garden Club Council of SC Records were deposited with the Winthrop Archives on March 23, 1978 by Dr. Elizabeth Friench Johnson via the Acquisitions Department of Dacus Library.
