The Carolina Bird Club was founded in 1937 to represent and support the birding community in the Carolinas and to support the protection, conservation, research and the study of birds and their habitats.

The Carolina Bird Club, Inc. Bulletins collection consists of The Chat which is a quarterly publication of the Carolina Bird Club devoted to the publication of scientific and popular information on birds and other wildlife of the Carolinas. The Carolina Bird Club was founded in 1937 to represent and support the birding community in the Carolinas and to support the protection, conservation, research and the study of birds and their habitats.

The Carolina Bird Club, Inc. Bulletins were given to Dacus Library by Dr. Elizabeth F. Johnson and transferred to the Archives on March 23, 1978.
