Scope and Content Note

The Glenn Proctor Hannon collection consists of three bound volumes documenting the education and early life of Glenn Morgan Proctor Hannon (1922–2009) of Rock Hill. Materials include a 1939 Bearcat yearbook from Rock Hill High School, a 1943 Tatler yearbook from Winthrop College, and her 1943 Winthrop diploma (B.A., psychology).

Hannon graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1939 and from Winthrop College in 1943. Following her graduation, she taught first grade for 33 years in the Fort Mill School District. These materials provide documentation of her academic achievements and offer insight into student life during this period.

Provenance

The Glenn Proctor Hannon Collection was donated to the Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections by Rebecca Hannon Terry, daughter of Glenn Hannon.
