Scope and Content Note
The Accolade Garden Club Records consist of club minutes, membership lists, correspondence, calendars, constitutions and bylaws, and other materials dating from 1964 to 1990. The club was originally founded on October 12, 1960, as the Gay Gardeners Club and later adopted the name Accolade Garden Club on February 14, 1974. The organization stated that its purpose “shall be to acquire a knowledge of simple horticulture and flower arrangement” and to promote the appreciation of gardening among its members.
Provenance
The records of the Accolade Garden Club were received by the Archives in 2010.
